The Hunger Games: The World Will be Watching

The Hunger Games

Is the TimeClock ticking on The Hunger Games Hype?

Last night in Los Angeles, fans lined the Nokia Theatre armed with homemade signs rooting for their favorite actors, and of course their favorite districts from the best selling book by Suzanne Collins.
Only a mere four months ago, this same event was held for the fan favorite “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”, at the same Nokia Theatre, jam-packed with stars and fans alike.
However there seems to be even more hype going around for The Hunger Games, minus the vampires and werewolves. Oscar nominated Jennifer Lawrence is the star of this movie, and seems to be quite the Hollywood powerhouse.
The cast overall for this movie combines some fresh new faces, as well as seasoned actors to round out what seems to be an all star cast.
However is it enough to attract a larger audience? Or is it just enough to capture the fanbase established from the book?

Would you be able to compete in The Hunger Games?

The Hunger Games is set in the future, where a live TV event captures contestants competing for survival, all forced into fighting for title and money.
The only way to survive in the The Hunger Games is simply that, SURVIVE!,
The question I propose to all business owners is this: Isn’t everyday The Hunger Games? It seems as if almost daily a new business is opened, and another one closes it’s doors.
For all of us in the business world, we realize that we must make every move we can, to put ourselves in front of the pack rather than staying static.

Peeta, Katniss, and GaleKatniss or Gale? Or Katniss and Peeta?

As you can imagine The Hunger Games has a love triangle, as well as other themes that will attract a targeted younger audience.
In the book and movie, fans will have to decide which team they would like to be on, root for, and become victorious.

    2. I started givnig the film a bit more attention the more news that trickled and then when this trailer arrived I thought screw it, I was able to get all three books for less than $10. I just finished the books now and I rather liked them. I don’t think they’re the best books out there nor do I think it’s as good as Battle Royale but they were an entertaining read. There was always something for me to like through all three. But looking at the film trailer now ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I can’t say it looks quite as interesting now. I’m not quite sure what it is but I can’t help but think that something has been lost from the translation from book to film.

  2. The blog was absolutely fantastic! lots of great information and inspiration, both of which we all need! Team PEETA 4 LIFE!!!

    1. I read a lot about how she was too old to play 16-year-old Katniss. Looking at this pic, and some others, she looks so much yngeuor than her age, especially 16. She looks great for Katniss and I hope her acting is equally great.

  3. I wanted to thank you for this. I love the books and I can’t wait to see this movie so thanks!

  4. Love this movie! Hey they just announced they are going to make 3 more! Look forward to more great Hunger Games!

    1. Okay, this is what i think: she has her bow and arrow so it has to be after she killed gmimler by dropping the tracker-jacker nest & her hair looks a little wet so im guessing this picture was taken a little bit after she dropped the nest because she stays near water because it helps relieve the pain

  6. I was in L.A. for this! Love the movie!

  7. Robin you are absolutely right. ‘Twilight’ sureffs from this same dilemma. The movie makes so much money, but they don’t put that money back in the film, so it looks cheap. I saw Immortals this weekend, and you can tell they invested a lot of money in the project. It’s funny if you think about it, because ‘The Hunger Games,’ and ‘Twilight’ will both make more than ‘Immortals,’ but they still won’t invest in the movie properly. Thanks for your comment I think the studios are worried about losing money
